The Interchangeables Homepage

The Interchangeables appeared several years after the Micronauts and Mego had departed. They are almost identical to the Micronauts, except that they have neon color schemes. Also, the Micronauts' hard plastic missiles have been replaced by soft rubber-tipped missiles (which make Captain Cosmo, Count Magno, and their horses look a little comical). Hourtoy Co. produced the Interchangeables, and was reported to be run by Mego CEO Marty Abrams' brother.

C.E.D.M. - Cosmic Emergency Defense Module : Astro Station clone. Has a launcher that propels Interchangeables into the air, a "coffin"/repair chamber, a collapsing gangway, and moveable gun batteries.

Cosmic Amphi-Copter : Hydro-Copter clone. Has a single two-blade rotor, dual laser cannons, and a deatachable buble that holds one figure. Fins in the rear detach and can be replaced with floats.

C.I.E.L. : Mobile Exploration Lab clone. Missile launcher on the Micronaut version is missing in this version, but still retains the moveable arms, and interior compartments. The CIEL can be disassembled into a spaceship, a ground/space mini-cruiser, and a mini escape pod.

Captain Cosmo : Force Commander clone. Hands fire and has a missile in his chest. Has magnetic joints (Magno-Powered) in his arms and legs. The leg joints attach to the Cosmo Steed to make a centaur figure.

Cosmo Steed : Captain Cosmo's horse, a clone of Oberon, only red. Has metal ball joints (Magno-Powered) in its neck for making a centaur with Captain Cosmo.

Count Magno : Green/gray Baron Karza clone. Hands fire and has a missile in his chest. Has magnetic joints (Magno-Powered) in his arms and legs. The leg joints attach to the Magna Steed to make a centaur figure.

Magna Steed : Count Magno's horse, a clone of Andromeda, only green/gray. Has metal ball joints (Magno-Powered) in its neck for making a centaur with Count Magno.

Cosmo Man : Time Traveler clone. Cosmo Man comes in both clear and opaque color schemes.

Cosmobot : Biotron clone. Has a motorized track on his back for hortizontal, rough-terrain travel. Shin assemblies mount on his legs for slow-motion, vertical travel. Has spring-loaded clips for hands and has rotating arm and neck joints.

Lord Meto : Lord Meto looks almost exactly like the ultra-rare Emperor with a large sword, cape and gold body armor. Lord Meto is also Magno-Powered and can become a centaur with Metallion. Click picture or here for a larger picture.

Metallion : Black horse with a wierd looking head and a gold breastplate. Metallion has metallic neck joints (Magno-Powered) to become a centaur with Lord Meto. Click picture or here for a larger picture.

C.I.R.E.S. : Giant Acroyear clone. Can be taken apart to form a spaceship, and two other robots. Has several missile launchers.

Battle Cruiser Clone. Has detachable missile launchers that look more like pistols. Has a spring loaded command ship that launches away from the main vehicle. Also can propel a figure into the command ship from the top of the craft. Is remote controlled (wired) though it can't be steered.

Cosmic Warp Chamber : Pharoid clone. There's a Cosmo Man in the chamber instead af a Pharoid-like figure.

C.I.T.S. : Stratastation clone. Has an elevator powered by the motorized car. Command station on the top of the tower has a spring loaded hatch, and can be rotated. There's an environmental chamber in the rear, and a repair station.

C.A.R.P. : Microtron clone. Has a head that opens into a chair and has motorized tank treads. Arms are also motorized and rotate. Click picture or here for a larger picture (and different color scheme).
